What Makes ABK Unique
For over 40 years, ABK has been the premier US-based board sports school for instructing beginners, board sports enthusiasts, and even professionals. As the windsurfing sport has grown and changed - so have our options. Our windsurf, windfoil, winging, and wingfoil clinics are offered at many locations near you.

The ABK 1-day and 3+-day clinics deliver much more than a typical beachside two-hour class (and are less expensive!). ABK uses an instructional system of building blocks that include the best techniques taught in small groups with a low student-to-instructor ratio.
Many of our students keep coming back because we know what it takes to help them improve their footwork, handwork, and a variety of maneuvers. They enjoy the friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere and become part of our community, The best part is when students return with their family members and friends for a learning adventure together!
Instruction
The centerpiece of the ABK experience is instruction. The ABK Staff is comprised of some of the finest world-class windsurfers in the United States. Staff members have been hand-picked for their windsurfing expertise and teaching ability. They are trained to help campers with specific needs in the fundamentals of windsurfing, including sail trimming, tacking, jibing, speed, water starts, freestyle, racing and beyond.

Experience
ABK is the oldest professionally run windsurfing school in the United States. Since 1982 and in more than a thousand multi-day camp sessions held across the United States and the Caribbean, the ABK teaching method and program has been developed and refined by professionals with expertise in recreational windsurfing, World Cup racing, and equipment technology.
Small Group Environment & Low Student-to-Instructor Ratio
Campers will be divided into small groups according to ability level to maximize access to instructors and stress individual technique development and personal improvement. New sailors will learn the basics through lectures and on-water instruction to ensure the best educational foundation. Experienced sailors will learn advanced techniques tailored to their specific interests and needs, while continuing to perfect their on-water skills. For a full camp of 40 people, there will be a minimum of eight instructors on site.

Friendly Atmosphere
ABK prides itself on providing the best windsurfing instruction in a friendly, non-intimidating atmosphere. The camps are designed to incorporate education, fitness, relaxation and fun. No matter what your age or previous windsurfing experience, an ABK windsurfing adventure will give you fun-filled days in an encouraging learning environment and the tools for many hours of sailing enjoyment. Each location is suited for all ability levels, unless otherwise noted.
Performance Analysis
The ABK method relies on extensive video feedback as an important component in the comprehensive instructional program. Daily videotaping sessions allow you to analyze sailing techniques with the instructors. In addition, footage of ABK's instructors provide you with closer-up examinations of correct methods.

What's Included
Unless noted otherwise, the camp fee includes all lectures, instruction, video analysis, T-shirt, and ABK instruction manual.
